Markham Uptown

Malone Given Parsons is engaged by Times Group Corporation to undertake master planning and development approvals for community master plan Markham Uptown, a major high-density residential development located north of Highway 407, at the southeast corner of Warden Avenue and Highway 7 in the City of Markham.

The site is within an Urban Growth Centre identified in the Provincial Growth Plan and is the future location of approximately 4,500 high-density residential units, 400,000 square feet of office development along with retail, commercial and live work opportunities within a walkable, mixed-use community. The master plan was formulated through discussions with relevant stakeholders, using the latest urban and sustainable design principles. All of the buildings within the development will be designed to achieve a LEED certification. The master plan also proposes innovative stormwater management techniques, avoiding the conventional land consumptive stormwater management ponds.
