Durham Live

Durham Live is a major tourist destination planned and under construction in southeast Pickering.

Key anchors of development include a new Pickering Casino, performing arts venue and hotel complex operated by Great Canadian Gaming. As part of the Ontario Lottery and Gaming (OLG) modernization program, casino operations were privatized through a competitive bidding process, and Durham Live was selected as the preferred location for the GTA East area. Durham Live, at full build-out, will include the casino complex, hotels, retail, restaurants, sports and entertainment venues and experiences, and state-of-the-art film production studios, bolstering it as a major destination for shopping, entertainment and employment.

Malone Given Parsons is the consulting planners to Pickering Developments Inc. and Great Canadian Gaming, and are engaged in all matters of the development approvals process, including an Environmental Assessment process for a new Highway 401 crossing.
