In co-operation with our client, MGP completed the Ontario Parcel Index (OPI), a link between two different databases, POLARIS -  Personal Identification Number (PIN) and OASYS - Assesment Roll Number (ARN), for over three million property parcels in Ontario.  It is a digital map index illustrating ownership parcel polygons linked to a table containing a cross-reference of PINs and ARNs.  Each cross-reference record includes an indicator which reflects the confidence placed in the validity of the PIN-ARN pair.  The delivered  was the result  of  both an

automated series of matching rules developed by MGP as well as a manual validation of candidate matches of spatial and tabular POLARIS and OASYS records.  OPI is a complete solution that consists of both data and software.  This enables the relating of any parcel in Ontario to its PIN, ARN, and municipal address.
